Convenor
Olufemi is a multifaceted academic with a background in International Law, Public Theology, and Ethics of Communication. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Aberdeen and has studied at the University of Westminster, London, and the University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on universalist-relativist debates in Criminology, International Relations, and Law, with an emphasis on international human rights and competing worldviews. Olufemi's interests also include regional security studies, counterterrorism, and computer misuse.
As an educator, Olufemi teaches various courses, including Legal Theory, Criminology, and Roman Law. He has extensive experience in other areas, such as Public International Law, International Human Rights, and Computer Misuse. Olufemi is also a visiting lecturer in International Law at ESC Graduate School of Management in France. Additionally, he serves as the Convenor of the Forum for the Study of Jurisprudence and Value Inquiry, a Member of the University's Health & Safety Committee, and the Recruitment Champion for the Law School.
