Prof. Nlerum S. Okogbule

Born on 15th September, 1960, to the family of Late Elder Sunday and Mrs Azonwo Okogbule at Ovelle-Nvakohia, Rumuekpe in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Professor Nlerum Sunday Okogbule, FCIArb, demonstrated a love for education from an early age. He began his primary education in 1965 and completed it in 1971. In 1972, he proceeded to Government Secondary School, Creek Road, Port Harcourt, successfully completing the programme in 1980 with a CGPA of 4.80.

Initially registered for a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he passed the JAMB examination and was admitted to study Law at the then University of Ife in 1980. His academic excellence earned him four scholarships during his time at the university.

Professor Okogbule is a committed born-again Christian and worships with the Church of God Mission International Inc. at the Rumuepirikom Provincial Headquarters, Port Harcourt.

He is happily married to Deaconess (Barr.) Mrs Uchenda Bibian Okogbule, a staff member of the Rivers State Customary Court of Appeal. They are blessed with seven children and four grandchildren.

Professor Nlerum Sunday Okogbule, FCIArb, is an accomplished academic, a humane and unassuming administrator, a prolific writer, a consummate human rights activist, a legal luminary of repute, and an award-winning international scholar.
