Ramona Biholar joined the Faculty of Law, The UWI Mona in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Babe?-Bolyai University, Romania, which included a year of study specialised on EU Law, Human Rights Law and Private International Law at Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain. She received an LLM in International and European Law from Utrecht, University Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance, and a PhD in International Human Rights Law from Utrecht University, Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM), where she studied as an NWO Open Competition Awardee of the Dutch Research Council. In 2012-2013 she was affiliated to The UWI Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS), St. Augustine as a researcher in the IDRC project "Politics, Power and Gender Justice in the Anglophone Caribbean". She has also joined the Caribbean Institute in Gender and Development (CIGAD) faculty team and delivered sessions on Gender, Human Rights and the Law in 2019 and 2023. At MonaLaw, she teaches in the LLB and LLM programmes and supervises MPhil/PhD students
